Using any number of Op-Amps, design multistage amplifier to amplify input Ac signal with 0.01V amplitude, the expected output voltage would have 4V amplitude.

The input signal frequency = 10 KHz.

Assume gain bandwidth product of Op-Amp = 1 MHz

• Design and construct (or simulate) the project using bred board (or software simulation programs).

    Hi,

    Some explanation first:

    1. The required overall amplification = 4/0.01 = 400

    2. An op-amp with 1MHz gain-bandwidth product can give us a maximum gain of 1*106/10*103 = 100, at 10KHz

    3. Therefore we can need a two stage-amplication, each with amplifcation of 20.

    4. This circuit can be made and simulated in LTspice, as shown below. The simulation result (the output waveform) is also shown.

    Vout V 4.0V 3.2V- 2.4V- 1.6V 0.8V- 0.0V -0.8V -1.6V- -2.40- 3.2- 4.0V 0.0ms 0.1ms 0.2ms 0.3ms 0.4ms Draft175 Amplifier, stage

As you can see, the output amplitude is almost 4V, as expected.

    Hope this helps
