    power absorbed by R2 = VR2/R22
    power absorbed by R1 = Vs-VR2 /R12
    Power delivered by the source equals the voltage of the source multiplied by the current through the source.
    so
    power of source = Vs *(Vs/(R1+R2)) = Vs2/(R1+R2) ;
    equating

    Vs2/(R1+R2) =  VR2/R22 - (Vs-VR2 /R12 )
    solving , we get
    VR2 = Vs * R2/(R1+R2)
